Please note that not all titles include subtitles. You can find out more information here.
If a video has subtitles available you will see a CC icon displayed in the movie/show synopsis page. If a video does not have a CC icon displayed in the movie/show synopsis page, there are no subtitles available for that video.
For all titles:
- Go to your Roku Home Screen.
- Select Settings.
- Select Captions.
- Select Captions Mode to On or On Always.
Now all movies and series with subtitles available will immediately play with captions.
For a specific title:
You can turn closed captions/subtitles on for a specific title by following the steps below:
- Select and Play any title.
- When the video begins, bring up the video player controls by pressing any direction on the remote's arrow pad or the Play/Pause button. The CC toggle in the lower right corner will either be orange(captions activated) or white(captions deactivated). Images below:

Please note that the Captions toggle will appear grayed out if captions are not available for that particular video.
